The neck is perfectly straight with no twisting or warping. I dont know if anyone is interested but I have a 1980 Oregional Rickenbacker 320 in Black for sale, everything is as it was on the guitar when it was produced and she has a few Battle Scars.the worst one is at the bottom where the paint has been worn away due to some one standing the guitar on the floor, it is big enough to see but with it being on the bottom it does not show when you are playing. I am open to offers or swaps but no silly prices or rubbish please as this is a piece of history that I am selling. If any one is interested contact by email and I will send pictures. There is the possability that who ever should want the guitar could respray the whole guitar or just the bottom.myself I will leave it as iut is as that add's to the origonality of the was imported into England in 1980 (the same year John Lennon was shot) now that could be interesting for some one that likes back tracking to try and find out who owned this guitar in the past. Likely Jay Turser has no office in those factories either, but they seem to have a strong role as middle man.I dont know if anyone is interested but I have a 1980 Origional Rickenbacker 320 in Black for sale, everything is as it was on the guitar when it was produced and she has a few Battle Scars.the worst one is at the bottom where the paint has been worn away due to some one standing the guitar on the floor, it is big enough to see but with it being on the bottom it does not show when you are playing. Mexico has US FMIC/ Fender owned and operated factories though, one of the only foreign made guitars actually made by the US company whose name is on the headstock. Likely Jay Turser has no office in those factories either, but they seem to have a strong role as middle man with a physical presence in Asia.Įven when Fender decided to pay Japanese companies to put the Squier and Fender brand decals on the Fender copies those other companies were already making, Fender had to form a company in Japan for the legal parts of contracting with those manufacturers. We have to assume that they are a middle man that contracts with various factories around Asia, and that they have personnel visiting those factories in person, where Mr Gibson and Mr SCecter do not visit those factories or have offices on premises. Jay Turser (company) has claimed in print that they "make guitars" for numerous other brands, and also that they "make more guitars than any other company in the world". Seems that a Canadian company now owns "US Music Corp". They just don't have necks I like enough to make room in my guitar corral for one. Tried another Epi 335 the other day after buying and returning one a year or so ago.

Hoping for a deal on a less decorated D'Angelico one of these days. I guess savvy shoppers grabbed them up once the news was out! Not sure what happened with the DeArmonds, but it seems like there were a lot of them used at GC cheap for a while, then none at all. They ended up holding a lot of the new price value and I should have grabbed a $179 deal or whatever they were in the early 2000s. I missed getting one of the early Dano imports because I assumed the used prices would get nice 'n' cheap. Hard to sort through all the production runs. Now and then we get some accidents made better than the brand requested, which results in their domestic models losing sales to the awfully good import versions. Many of the foreign shops are capable of building higher quality but get specs from contractors requiring price point quality cuts. Like the certain era Epi models from Korea that are now valued higher than current production? Some were super cheap used until they got a cult following and the prices went up. Seems like there was a DeArmond line that was really good and under the radar, might have had some identical models branded Guild as well. There really are some great deals on lots of US branded imports like some of the solid body Gretch, DeArmond and Guild, and I forget what others.
